Tutor Employment Opportunities

Undergoing current B.Ed. program or graduated with at minimum B.Ed.  Registered to teach on Prince Edward Island

Current background check

Available for a minimum of four hours weekly (more hours generally available).

Tutors will deliver remediation programs (please read the information on the website) with a specific focus on areas identified as needing support.

Apart from the remediation program, some students work with the curriculum but, outside of school, benefit from support from an empathic tutor. LDAPEI will discuss with tutors their preferences and assign students accordingly

Students are tutored on a One-on-One basis and learn at their own pace.

Tutoring takes place after the school day (apart from the Summer when a separate schedule is arranged).

Tutoring is undertaken at either Island schools, the LDAPEI office or other public locations that are suitable for tutoring.

Tutors are paid between $20 and $25 per tutoring hour. LDAPEI operates a payroll scheme for deductions.
