Parent Support Group

Program Details

Caring for someone with a learning disability can be rewarding—but it can also feel overwhelming at times.  LDAPEI’s Parent Support Groups offer a welcoming space for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

These groups are for parents and caregivers, designed by parents and caregivers.  Using a “build-it-together” approach, the topics, activities, and speakers are shaped by what families want to learn about and explore.  Some sessions may include guest speakers, while others focus on open conversation, sharing strategies, or enjoying recreational activities together.

The goal is to create a supportive community where families can ask questions, exchange ideas, and feel less alone in their journeys.  Meetings are held once a month in Charlottetown and Summerside.
